JENTIN Tablet 50mg, 100mg

Classified in drug group (DPP-4).
Type of drug: Prescription drug.
Indications for use:
Single Use Case: Used to control blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes along with exercise and food control.
Dosage: The starting dosage is 100mg x 1 time/day or combined with Metformin or a class of drugs (PPAR gamma) agonist such as Thiazolidinediones, Sitagliptin can be taken before or after meals.
Drug use in patients with impaired renal function: 
• There is no need to adjust the dosage for patients with mild kidney function impairment (renal filtration rate Creatinine Clearance ≥ 50ml\min or equivalent blood creatinine level ≤1.7 mg/dl in men and ≤1.5mg/dl in women). 
• The strength of the drug used for patients with moderate kidney function impairment is 50mg/day (the filtration rate of
Renal Creatinine Clearance ≥ 30-50ml\min or equivalent to blood creatinine level >1.7-3 mg/dl in men and >1.5-2.5mg/dl in women). 
• The strength of the drug used in patients with severe kidney function impairment (renal filtration rate Creatinine Clearance < 30ml\min or equivalent to blood creatinine level >3 mg/dl in men and >2.5mg/dl
in women). or patients with end-stage renal disease undergoing kidney dialysis. The strength used is 25mg/day. 
• Use of the drug in pregnant women: This drug is classified as Category B safety
Contraindications: Do not use for patients who are allergic to Sitagliptin (Jentin) and have swelling.
