Bionip Suspension 125mg/250mg - 5mL

Indications and Strengths:
For children, the strength is calculated according to weight
10-20mg/Kg/dose x 2 times/day.
• Dysentery The strength is 10-20mg/Kg/dose x 2 times/day (World Health Organization recommends it as the first-line drug) (Ref: 1 The Capital Institute of Pediatrics, World Health Organization Collaborative Centre, Beijing, China; 2 Royal children’s Hospital, Melbourne, Australia (2nd September, 2008)).
• Acute severe diarrhea due to infection The strength is 10-20mg/Kg/dose x 2 times/day. (Ref: The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal 2000; 19(11):1060).
• Severe Salmonella infection or enteric fever in children: 20mg/kg/day x 5 days,
The oral form is safe, causing the child to stop diarrhea, stop fever and return to normal quickly.
• Recently, the US Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of this drug in children with complicated urinary tract infections and kidney infections (Complicated UTI’s & Pyelonephritis)
• The strength is 10-20mg/kg/dose x2 times/day x 10 days;

Side effects of the drug:
May cause allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, rash,
swelling, headache, dizziness.
